Badgers - June 2010

Postby brentawp on Mon Jun 21, 2010 4:43 pm

Everyone knows the story of the Swan Flats sow and her four cubs. I was lucky enough to have a point blank encounter with them as they crossed the highway in Swan Flats. Just to witness the spectacle was a great reward. The badgers are always fun to photograph when they are active - and I was lucky again with them. So, beyond my two trip reports previously posted of the grizzlies and some badgers, here are the Badger images together:

Some where shot near the active (in early June) den near the Phantom Lakes, the shots of the family roaming around together were taken a hundred yards northeast of the pullout/restroom that is a mile past the confluence of Soda Butte Creek and Lamar River.
